Obituary of Victor Charles Knight
Knight, Charles Victor - of Morpeth, passed away on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, age 75. Born in Barrie Ontario to parents the late Charles and Frances (Lee) Knight. Loved husband to Carol Anne (Rankin) Knight for 45 years. Beloved father of Kate and husband Jim Anderson of Erieau, Carl and wife Melissa Knight of Highgate, Christopher and wife Julie of Highgate, Kim Cikatricis of Ridgetown, and Becky and husband Bob Daly of Ridgetown.
Grandfather of Tonya (Larry) Fife, Beth-Anne (A.J.) Shepley, Kyle (Lisa) Broad, Noah Woodley, Owen Woodley, Lucas Daly, Andrew Cikatricis, Joe Cikatricis, Riegan Knight, Blaine Knight, Beau Knight, and Oscar Anderson. Great-Grandfather of eight. Predeceased by his sister Dora May Harris.
Victor taught for the Lambton Kent District School Board for many years. He farmed in Orford Township and was a member of the Canadian Angus Cattle Association. Victor was also an active member of the Church of the Advent in Ridgetown.
Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East, Ridgetown on Thursday June 1, 2017 from 7-9pm. The Funeral Service for Victor will be held at the Church of the Advent on Friday June 2 at 11am with Rev. John Maroney Officiating. Cremation to follow. Donations in memory of Vic may be made to the Church of the Advent Ridgetown or the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. Online condolences may be left at www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com.
