Doris passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, July 3 2017 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus at the age of 84.

She was the daughter of the late Clarence James and Edith (Sproul) Hoy.

Doris was born in Goderich where she met Bill. They then resided in Sarnia and later Chatham. She was an avid gardener who loved roses. She loved her family dearly, always putting their needs ahead of her own.

Beloved wife of 67 years to Bill Knight of Chatham, dear mother of Bonnie Greene and Rick Knight both of Chatham, loving grandmother of Melissa (Doug) Jansen of Merlin, sadly missed by her beautiful great-grandchildren Tanner, Taylor, Hunter and Maci and kind sister to Tim Hoy of B.C and loved by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by an infant daughter Sherry, sisters Donna and Delina and brothers Clarence, Bob and Tim.

Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the V.O.N. and especially Stacey and Jon Ann for their kindness and compassion for the past three years.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St.Clair Street, Chatham, ON.
