Obituary of Phyllis W. Kelly

KELLY: Phyllis W. (nee Cheadle) -

A resident of Chatham, Phyllis Kelly passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with her family by her side on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the age of 92.

Born in Birmingham, England, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Albert and Lydia (Barnes) Cheadle.

Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Bill Kelly (2009).

Loving mother of Maureen DeBacker (Brian) and Michael Kelly, both of Chatham.

Proud Grandma of Robin Gowers of Chestermere, Alberta and Shannon DeBacker (Glen Priestley) of Houston, Texas and Kristen Pillon (Jeff) of Chatham.

Great-Grandma to Jessica and Jordan Gowers; Alexis Priestley; Cameron, Emily and Sophie Pillon.

Dear sister of Albert Cheadle (Norma). Predeceased by her sisters Ruby (2010) and husband Glen (1971) Kettle and Eileen (2011) and husband Jack (2013) Stockwell.

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, extended family and her feline companion Jasmine.

Phyllis was a longtime member of St. Paul's Anglican Church and their ACW. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends. She had a generous spirit and supported numerous charities throughout the community.

Family will receive friends at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 18 Dolsen Rd, Chatham on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 2:00 pm until the Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Mark Sceviour officiating.
