Obituary of George Lyons
LYONS: George Murray -
A resident of Chatham and formerly of Halifax, Nova Scotia, George Lyons passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the age of 74.
Born in Halifax, George was the son of the late George and Joyce (Kaizer) Lyons.
Beloved husband of 23 years to Karen Snary/Lyons (nee Brown).
Father of Michael Seabourne of London.
Step-father to Vinton, Victoria, Mellissa and Brent.
Grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Also missed by many family throughout Canada.
George was an international chef. He survived the sinking of the Rowan Gorilla I Oil Rig off the East Coast in 1988.
Cremation has taken place with a private family interment to be held at a later date.
Donations made in memory of George to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
