Obituary of Donald Wesley McIntyre
McINTYRE: Donald Wesley 'Don' -
A lifelong resident of Chatham, Don passed away at Meadow Park Nursing Home on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the age of 82.
Born in Chatham, Don was the son of the late Wesley and Margaret (Connell) McIntyre.
Beloved husband of 44 years to Erin (nee Conn).
Loving father of Dayna McIntyre, Ryland McIntyre (Jodi) and Mykala McIntyre, all of Chatham.
Dear brother to Kenny McIntyre (Mary). Predeceased by his sisters Eileen Almas and Laura McIntyre and his brother Fred McIntyre. Special uncle to Pat Almas and Audrey Gander. Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Don was a veteran, having served in Vietnam. He returned to Vietnam to serve in the Peace Corps. Don has been on a ship since he was 19, having worked in the deep sea shipping industry, retiring at the age of 70. There isn't a country in the world he hasn't travelled to.
Cremation has taken place with a private family interment to be held at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Don to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
