Obituary of Ruth J Wright
A resident of Chatham, Ruth Wright passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in her 78th year.
Ruth was the daughter of the late Wilbert & Freda (nee Tippett) Robson.
Beloved wife of Gordon Wright for 58 years.
Loving mother of Donna Robertson of Chatham & Linda (Peter) Durst of Stittsville.
Grandma of Sarah (Dave) O'Grady, Mellisa (Tim) Orvis & Kevin (Jessica) Durst.
Great-grandmother of Olivia, Owen, & Evelynn O'Grady and Audrey Durst.
Sister of Joyce Hall of Chatham & Joan Mayor of King's Corner.
Predeceased by brother-in-laws, Robert Hall & Kerry Mayor.
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended families.
Ruth was an avid knitter, craft maker, enjoyed traveling and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family to receive friends on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m & 7:00 - 9:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral Service to celebrate Ruth's life will take place at 11:00 a.m on Friday at the Funeral Home with Gabriella Cutler as officiant. Cremation to follow.
Donations in memory of Ruth may be made to the Canadian Lung Association and the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
