Obituary of Shirley Ann Johnston
JOHNSTON: Shirley Ann (nee Coveny) -
A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Wallaceburg, Shirley Johnston passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with her family at her side on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the age of 74.
Born in Chatham, Shirley was the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (Files) Coveny.
Beloved wife of late Frank Vink (2015).
Loving mother of Tracy Drouillard (Tom) of London, Stacy Roberts (Dwight) of Komoka and Todd Johnston (Emma) of Oakville.
Proud grandmother of Derek Drouillard, Andrea Drouillard, Rachel Drouillard, Logan Roberts, Callum Roberts, Ethan Johnston and Emersyn Johnston.
Dear sister to Stella Goudreau (late Vince) of Chatham, Marlene Judson (Ron) of Wallaceburg, and Betty DeBruin (Len) of Chatham. Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 3:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Vigil Prayers will be held Thursday at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 52 Croydon Street, Chatham at 11:00 am on Friday, September 15, 2017 with Fr. Jim Higgins celebrant. Cremation to follow with private family interment to be held at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Shirley to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
