Obituary of Lillie Mae Burley

Burley, Lillie Mae - Passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday September 18, 2017, age 93. Born in Mississippi to parents the late Roosevelt Swarns and Emma Nancy nee Buckhalter. Lillie Mae was the sister of Mary Lee Swarns, Lizzie Almas, Albert Melton, Essie Bee Whitmare, Minni Pearl Griffin, Willie James Collins, Bessie Lee Johnson, Tommie Lee Johnson, Mary Harvery Carmon, Louise Johnson, Beatrice Young, Jimmi Lee Collins, Pearle Mae Johnson, Medell Collins. She will also be missed by her several nieces and nephews. In 1972 Lillie Mae married her loving husband, the late Charles 1972 and moved to Shrewsbury Ontario.

Lillie Mae was a member of the Prairie Grove Baptist Church in Mississippi, Union Star Baptist Church in Mississippi, Providence Abaptist Church in Chicago, the Shrewsbury Baptist Church in Shrewsbury, Ontario, and the Campbell A.M.E. Church in Chatham Ontario.

Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park St., Blenheim on Thursday September 21, 2017 from 12-1pm. The Funeral Service will then be held at the Funeral Home at 1pm. Burial to follow in the Shrewsbury Cemetery.
