STEWART: Janet True (nee Mason) -
A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Erieau, Janet Stewart passed away peacefully at her home with her family and friends at her side on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the age of 76.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Janet was the daughter of the late Sterling and Sally (Hatherell) Mason.
Loving mother of Nancy Lipski of Chatham and Jeff Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, MI. Step-mother to David Stewart, Jr. of Florida and Michael Stewart (Mary Sue) of Mt. Pleasant. Predeceased by her daughter Michelle Stewart.
Cherished grandmother of Cheyenne and Haley Lipski and Bruce Boyd.
Dear sister to Fred Mason (Gwen Walker) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Donald Mason of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Aunt to James Mason and Kim Ulrich-Miller.
Dearly missed by her canine companion Maggie and predeceased by her cocker spaniel Mrs. Beasley.
Janet, '49er', will be missed by her work family at Countryview Golf Course.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
Donations made in memory of Janet to the V.O.N. Chatham-Kent would be appreciated.
