Gregory, James "Jim"

 James Raymond Gregory passed away on November 18th, 2017 at the age of 78 with his family at his side. He is the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Nellie) (nee Everitt) and son-in-law of the late Andrew and Blanche Fleming.

Beloved husband of 57 years to Joan Gregory (nee Shuttleworth/Fleming) and dearly loved father of Richard(Jean), David(Hope Ann), Jim(Marisa), John(Giselle) and Grant. Grandfather to Sean(Jill), Michael(Damjana), Michelle(Mark), Kale, Cody(Holly), Colin, Nathan, Alex, Danielle, Larissa, Allison and Holly. Great-grandfather to Carson, Aubrey and Ayden. 
Dear brother of Ruth Mulhern(late Joseph), Betty Woudenberg(late Bert), late Shirley Speller(John) and brother-in-law to Beverley and Tim O’Rourke, Janet Forbes and Vic Kostenchuk and Elizabeth Fleming. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim worked as a mechanic for 25 years at Sandy Elliott Motors until he retired and remained farming full-time for many years afterwards. 
Jim loved spending time with his family and friends especially when they all got together for celebrations. He would always get a twinkle in his eye when his grandchildren were around and was proud of their many accomplishments. Jim enjoyed sharing stories of his youth and joking around with others. He will forever be remembered for being there for his family whenever he was able. He loved his family with all his heart.  
He will be deeply missed by us all. 

Family to receive friends on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the Funeral Home with Gabriella Cutler as officiant. Burial to follow in Pardoville-Union Cemetery. 

Donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
