Obituary of Bruce Clare Fraser

FRASER: Bruce Clare -

A resident of Chatham, Bruce Fraser passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with his family at his side on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the age of 86. 

Born in Enniskillen Township, Bruce was the son of the late William and Jenny (Worts) Fraser. 

Beloved  husband  of 58 years to the late Betty (nee Deacon).

Loving father of Joanne Robbins (Linden Indoe) of Port Elgin and  Bruce Fraser of Chatham. Predeceased by his son Larry Fraser (2017) (Deb O'Brien). 

Fondly remembered by his grandchildren - Mandy Robbins (Menno), Tyler Fraser (Cassandra), Bill Robbins (Jody), Troy Fraser (Ashley), Brandon Hubbarth and Trista Fraser (Jeff).

Proud great-grandfather to Kayden, Evan, Sebastiaan and Abigail.

Dear brother to Evelyn Swanson of Sarnia, Bill Fraser of London and Earl Fraser (Shirley) of London. Predeceased by his sisters Mildred McKinlay, Vera Maitland, Pauline Rundle and twin brother Ross Fraser. Brother-in-law to Doris Fraser of Petrolia. 

Bruce grew up on the family farm in Petrolia, and continued to work the land throughout his life. 
He retired from the OPP after over 30 years of service. Bruce was a member of the former Park Street United Church, the St. Andrew's United Church and the St. John's Lodge # 35, A.F. & A.M., Cayuga.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  A Masonic Service will be held Sunday at 7pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Monday, November 27, 2017 with Gabriella Cutler officiating. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to be held at a later date. 

Donations made in memory of Bruce to the Chatham-Kent Hospice or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
