It has pleased the Lord to call to himself M. Jack Ripley, on December 9, 2017, beloved husband of Barbara (Flanagan) Ripley of Chatham and Beckley, West Virginia; predeceased by Phyllis (Gilhula) Ripley in 1998; devoted father of Cheryl and Douglas Hicks of Ronan, Montana, Shelley and Al Bulckaert of London, Laurie and Geoff Roeszler of Chatham, Karen and John Trudeau of Chatham; much loved Grandpa of Joshua, Jonathan, and Nathan Hicks, Alison Latimer, Wendy Bulckaert-Chou, Jason, Lauren and Jordan Bulckaert, Colin, Tyler and Devon Roeszler, Carly Christian and Derek Trudeau; GGPa of 18 great grandchildren; son of Lloyd and Tena Ripley (predeceased); brother of Marilyn and Bob (predeceased) Fieldus and Lynwood and Midge Ripley of Chatham, and Janice and Gary Pepper of Chilliwack, B.C. Jack will be missed by his West Virginia family, Charlie and Babette Flanagan, Victor and Lindsay Flanagan, Lori and Tom Lewis, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
A private family burial will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at Gregory Drive Alliance Church, 255 Gregory Drive West, Chatham, ON, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 1:30 p.m, with Pastor Brent Farquhar, officiating.
The family would be pleased to receive memorial donations to: Into All the World (Canada) or the Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders (SAMS USA), in support of the work of Jack’s grandson, Jonathan and Tess Hicks in the Solomon Islands, or to the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario or Parkinson’s Foundation (USA).
