Obituary of Noreen Frances Davis-Wijsman

DAVIS-WIJSMAN: Noreen Frances (nee Donahue) -

A resident of Ridgetown, and formerly of London, Noreen Davis-Wijsman passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with her family by her side on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the age of 82.

Born in L'Etang, Charlotte County, New Brunswick, Noreen was the daughter of Jack and Ruth (McConnell) Donahue.

Beloved wife of 10 years to Harry Wijsman and 50 years to the late Allan 'Al' Davis (2003).

Loving mother of Karen Devereux (Paul) of Dresden, Kathy Delanghe (Art) of Ridgetown and Cynthia Beaton (Glenn) of Big Bay.

Proud Nana to Ashley McLachlin (Josh), Lori Devereux (fiance Brodie McDonald); Keegan Delanghe (Paige), Kirby Delanghe; Marcie Matthies (Andrew) and Rick Ashelby.

Great-Nana to Finley and Willow Matthies and Ava Ashelby.

Sister to Barb Meathrel (John) and the late Brendan Donahue. Sister-in-law to Marilyn Donahue and former sister-in-law to Louise Donahue.

Noreen will be missed by Harry's children: John Wijsman (Adele), Mary Kitt (Tony), Harry Wijsman (Mary), Gerald Wijsman, Fred Wijsman (Kim), and Harry's step-children and grandchildren.

Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Noreen retired from Union Gas after over 15 years of service. From there, she started a family business in London with her husband Al Davis: "Little Cedar Ranch". Noreen enjoyed her time playing cards at the Ridgetown and Blenheim Seniors Centres. She especially enjoyed her Wednesday Bridge Group.

A Private Family Service will be held for Noreen at a later date. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
