Obituary of Eileen Butcher

BUTCHER: E. 'Eileen' (nee Williams) -

A resident of Chatham, Eileen Butcher passed away at Riverview Gardens with her family at her side on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the age of 86.

Born in Lowbanks, Ontario, Eileen was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Annie (Cox) Williams.

Beloved wife of the late Clifford James Allison and the late Kenneth George Butcher.

Loving mother of Wayne Allison (Carol) of Blenheim.

Proud Grandma of Melissa, Jason, John (Rose), Heather and Stephanie.

Great-Grandma to Michael, Jakob, Josh, Austin, Aiden, David and Nolan. Predeceased by her daughter Darlene Braun. Mother-in-law to Keith Braun.

Dear sister to Doris Rabideau (late Harvey), Lloyd Williams (Joan), Margaret Russchen (late John), Marie Malott (late Len), Calvin Williams (late Brenda), Nelson Williams (Marion) and Patricia Read (Oliver).

Predeceased by siblings Lila Hatt (late Len), Earl Armstrong, Stan Nichols, Elizabeth Nichols and William Nichols.

Sister-in-law to the Butcher and Allison families. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Eileen had retired from Zeller's after over 30 years of service, having worked at many stores throughout Canada. She had been a member of Park Street United Church, Zion United Church and their U.C.W. groups. Eileen enjoyed crocheting, knitting, painting and going camping.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 3:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home at 11:00am on Thursday, January 18, 2018 with Rev. Paul McPhail officiating. Interment to follow at Dresden Cemetery.
