Obituary of Peter Kiriakopoulos

Passed away suddenly and peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Born on February 23, 1965, Peter was the son of Vivian (Pappas) and the late Tony Kiriakopoulos (1986). Loving father of Vickie and her husband Adriano (Corsini) and Tony. 

Proud Grandpa of Baby Lucca. Beloved brother to Mary and Mike (McIntosh) and Kevin and Pierrette (DeNure). Special Uncle to Erica (Kai), Jessica, Carson, Alexis and Cash.

Pete will be missed by his aunts and uncles: Gina and Eric Paraskevopoulos, Pat Duphette, George and Shirley Pappas, Toula and John Katradis, Christine and Steve Mirtsos, Sophia and Chris Donos, Kathy and Ted Efstathiou, Kostas and Margaret Kiriakopoulos. 

Sadly missed by his many cousins. Fondly remembered by the mother of his children, Lolita Babalis. Predeceased by his Aunt Billie Fife, Aunt Helen Kiriakopoulos and Uncle Jack Kiriakopoulos.

Pete was a wonderful man with a heart bigger than he was. He was kind, caring and sensitive. Pete was very proud of his children and his sweet little grandson. He loved to be with his family and was an excellent cook. Over the years, he worked at many family restaurants: Seven Seas, The Saxony, Smitty's and Country Kitchen. He was a gentle spirit who will be greatly missed.

Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Prayers will be held Friday at 8:00 pm. 
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Nektario's Orthodox Church, 816 Grand Ave East, Chatham at 11:00 am. on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations made in memory of Peter to St. Nektario's  Orthodox Church would be appreciated.  Online condolences may be left at www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com.
