Parker, Patricia Marie (nee MacNaughton)
A resident of Chatham, Patricia Parker passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the age of 92.
Patricia was the Daughter of Coll & Ethel (nee Booth) MacNaughton.
Devoted wife of 64 years to J. Arthur Parker.
Loving mother of Lynn Parker-Larsen of Chatham, Sam Parker and wife, Barbara Ann of Sarnia, Mac Parker and wife , Lorraine of Clive, AB and Dan Parker and wife, Nancy of Chatham.
Grandma of Sheena Armstrong (David), Joshua Larsen (Nicole), Jordan Parker (Laurie), Rachel Kilbreath (Travis), Bethany Parker, Sarah Parker (fiancée Trevor), David Parker, Philip Parker (Jenessa), Maria Parker, Faith Parker, Season Hoogstad (Mike) & Jasmine Labombard.
Great-Granny of Abigail, Abel, Brady, Dane, Ariel, Aurora, Elijah, Lila, Jocelyn, Seth, Nora, Alanna, Braden & Zachariah.
Sister of Jean Roth and her late husband Kenneth of Sylmar California.
Missed by her nieces, Robin, Pamela & nephew, Ron.
Pat was born in Chatham, Ontario on July 18, 1925, she graduated from Wallaceburg High School in 1941 and subsequently worked in the Creamery in Wallaceburg in the 1940’s and then for IAC Finance in Chatham and Toronto until she married her loving husband J. Arthur in 1954. Pat and Art had their four children while living in Toronto, moved to Barrie for three years and then to Chatham in 1967. In 1968, she returned to full time employment, working for Thamesview Lodge Seniors Home in administration and retired after 23 years of service. Pat was a faithful member of Victoria Avenue United Church and then St. Paul’s
Congregational Church. She was a devoted wife, and a loving, listening, and caring mother and grandmother. She was always interested in the lives of those around her and took the time to send cards with notes. Pat kept a close special long distance relationship with her sister Jean and formed lifelong relationships with her neighbors. She will be dearly missed but now rests in the Love of her Saviour - Psalm 23.
Family to receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:30 pm on Friday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Margaret Moriyama officiating. Cremation to take place with a private family interment at a later date.
