McLEAN: Ronald Wayne -

A resident of the Ridgetown area, Ron McLean passed away at his home with his family at his side on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the age of 79.

Born in Howard Township, Ron was the son of the late Harold McLean and the late Gladys Griffith (nee Wardell).

Best friend for 40 years and beloved husband for 22 years to Diane (nee Green).

Loving father of Tim McLean of Chatham, Tammy McLean (Mike Whitty) of Chatham, Lisa Snary (Steve Sitter) of Sarnia and Chris Morris (Brenda) of Chatham.

Very proud Grandpa of Chantal, Shae-Lyn (David), Robert, Charli (Eren), Drew (Katie), Shawn, Mitch (Marina), Dakota (Claudia), Christopher (Taylor), Guy and Shelby (Nathan).

Great-Grandpa to Nate, Alex, Cole and Casy.

Dear brother to Joyce Holmes (John), Shirley Ryckman (Genie), Laurie McLean (George), John Valley (Cheryl) and Julie Bouchard.

Brother-in-law to Shirley Gordon (late Bob), the late Jim Green, the late Marlene Gobert, Gerry Green, Ron Green (Amy) and Brad Green (Cheryl).

Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Ron was owner of Waltron Trailers in Ridgetown. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed camping, woodworking, hunting and playing Slo-pitch. He was also an avid local hockey supporter and a Toronto Maple Leaf and Blue Jay fan.

Family will receive visitors at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Ron's life will be held at the Funeral Home at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 with Rev. Chris Couper officiating. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.

Donations made in memory of Ron to the Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Oncology, Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
