Obituary of Donald Arthur Richardson

Richardson, Donald Arthur – passed away peacefully at the Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown, on Tuesday April 17, 2018, age 89. Born in Chatham, on May 21, 1928, to parents the late Bessy (nee Snobelen) and Bert Richardson. Predeceased by his wife Barbara Ann (nee Jenner) Richardson.

Loving father of Linda and husband John Patterson of Cottam, and Bruce and wife Pat Richardson of Kent Bridge. Beloved grandfather of Lea and wife Laura Patterson and their children Colby and Chase of Belle River; Craig and wife Renee Patterson and their son Braden of Amherstburg; Kelly and husband James Shoulders and their children Lawson and Madelyn of London; Kevin and wife Quinn Richardson and their daughter Frankie of Toronto; and Katie Richardson and husband Jeff Kent-Rodgman of London.

Survived by his sisters-in-law Lyla Richardson of Chatham, Jane Jenner of Chatham and brother-in-law John and wife Helen Jenner of Chatham.

Predeceased also by his brothers Robert (late Olive) Richardson, William (late Laura) Richardson, Tom Richardson, Samuel (Alison) Richardson, and brothers-in-law Bob Jenner, Bill (late Dorothy Hoy) Jenner.

Don farmed his whole life in Howard Township and was a member of the St. John’s Botany Church.

Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East., Ridgetown on Thursday April 19, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Private Family Funeral Service will be held with burial in the Botany Cemetery.
