A resident of Chatham, Jack Donald peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in his 78th year.
Jack was the son of the late Jack & Geraldine (nee North) Donald and the late Cora (nee Luyt). Son-in-law of the late Helen & Gord Charbonneau.
Beloved husband of 55 years to Elaine (nee McGaffey).
Loving father of Steven (Michelle) Donald of Chatham.
Step-grandfather to Amanda.
Brother of Chris (Max) Crawford, Bruce (Anne) Donald & Robert Donald.
Nephew of Gladys Langford of Sarnia & Lena Gilhuis of Chatham.
Jack retired from working in the grocery business after 44 years of service. The happiest years of Jack's life were going to his son's hockey & baseball games. After retirement, he enjoyed his time spent sharing coffee with his friends, Phil & Marty.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors & staff of Medical Floor A at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. A special thank you to Dr. Park Parry, Doreen & Dr. Tran for their compassionate care over the years.
Family to receive friends on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 463 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Cremation has taken place.
In memory of Jack, donations may be made to the Friends of the New Animal Shelter (chq's payable to the Municipality of Chatham-Kent) would be appreciated.
