WILSON: Donald James -
A resident of Wabash, Don Wilson passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Hospital on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the age of 74.
Born in Chatham, Don was the son of the late Walter and Gladys (Jackson) Wilson.
Beloved father of Chris and Pati Wilson of Brampton, Shawn and Ellen Wilson of Dresden, and Sheldon and Julie Wilson of Mississauga.
Proud Grandpa of Bryan, Erin, Kris, Walt and Jack.
Special friend of Judy Waters of Wabash.
Brother of Kenneth Wilson of Morpeth.
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Don was a lifelong farmer and electrician by trade. He was an original member of 1st Wabash Scouting, and was still an active member of the group committee. Don was an avid gardener, a pilot, a sailor and a world traveler. He was a Past President of the Ontario Chapter of Flying Farmers. Above all else, he was a family man.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 10:30 am on Friday, May 4, 2018. Cremation to follow.
Donations made in memory of Donald to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
