Doug passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Riverview Gardens on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the age of 86.
Doug was born in Chatham and was the son of the late Alfred and Parmelia (nee St. Pierre).
Beloved husband of Gail (nee Beemer) Couture of Chatham and the late Shirley (nee Beemer) Couture (1995).
Loving father of Dan and Ruthe Beemer, Debra Couture, April and Bill Rodgers, Rodney Couture, Tammie and George Kett.
Fondly remembered by his step-daughter Idella McLeod.
Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Dear brother of Marlene Foy, JoAnne and Gerry Yager and Dennis and Bernadette Couture.
Caring brother-in-law of Nancy Couture.
Predeceased by his son Daniel (1979), his sisters, Vada (Gene) Riddell, Maxine (Jim) Graham, his brother Robert Couture and an infant brother Rodney.
Cremation has taken place.
The family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A private family graveside service will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Doug to the Alzheimer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
