Obituary of Jon Hearns
HEARNS, Jon Henry. A resident of R.R. #3 Ridgetown, Jon Hearns passed away at home on Wednesday June 20, 2018 at the age of 50. Born in Kitchener, son of the late Sarah Jean (Quinn) and the late Arthur Murry Hearns. Jon will also be missed by his mother Frances (Ryckman) Hearns whom married Art in 1982.
Beloved husband of the late Rebecca Lynn (Moore) Hearns. Will also be dearly missed by Donna Burk and her children Ryan, Jamie and Chantelle.
Admired father of Garrett Jensen and his son Austin, and Kayla Jensen, her partner Brad Brady and their daughter Brynlee.
Brother of Wendy Hearns of Thunder Bay, Carol Ann (Brent) Greiner of England, and Leo Hearns of London.
Brother-in-law of Angela (Matt) Greenway of Saskatoon, and Tamara (Emmanuel) Fleuti of Switzerland.
Uncle of Jesse Hearns-Branaman, Katie Hearns, Julia Hearns, Sarah Hay, Fylix Greenway, Tyl Greenway, and Richard Fleuit.
Son-in-law of Nancy Moore of Rodney and the late John Moore.
Nephew of Jeanette (late Rodney) Quinn of Windsor, the late Betty (Late John) Smith of Ridgetown, Margaret (Late Gerard) Goudreau of St. Mary's, the late Velma (Peter) Steinburg of Sutton, Barbara Haskell (late Doug) of Toronto, Rose Ryckman (Harold Want) of Fletcher, Dorothy (Ken) Ivison of Chatham, Irene (John) Bell of Tilbury, Jim Ryckman of Troy, Kathryn (Ray) Want of McKay's Corners and Fred (Pat) Ryckman of Blenheim.
Will also be missed by the Burk Family.
Jon was an avid Nascar fan, often travelling to Michigan with friends to watch the races. He was also huge football and hockey fan, cheering on the Greenbay Packers and the "Team that never could since 1967". Jon loved being outdoors with his family and dogs over the years.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East., Ridgetown on Thursday June 28, 2018 from 6-9pm. Visitation will continue on Friday June 29 at the Funeral Home at 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am. Burial to follow in the Botany Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Jon may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Chatham-Kent 4H or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
