McPhail, Kenneth Jack
A resident of Chatham, Ken McPhail peacefully passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Saturday, June 30, 2018, with his loving family by his side, in his 93rd year.
Ken was the son of the late Jack & Leila (nee Hazlett) McPhail.
Loving husband of Hermine "Hermie" (nee Schatteiner).
Beloved father of Greg McPhail of Chatham and Bonnie Monk (Donnie) of Toronto.
Opa of Ashley and Grandpa of Barbara (Brian) & the late Brenda.
Great-Grandpa of Jeffrey, Michael, Christina, Craig & Christopher.
Great-great-grandpa of Selina.
Brother of Shirley Hellerman (Phil) of Chatham, and the late Glen McPhail.
Missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.
Ken was a creative lifetime entrepreneur, designing, creating and manufacturing his own toy designs. He enjoyed watching golf with Hermie, traveling and spending time with his granddaughter.
The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff of the Chatham-Kent Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Ken & Hermie during his final days.
Family to receive friends on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Cremation to take place with a Private Family Interment at a later date.
Donations in memory of Ken may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
