It is with great shock & sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert "Tuey" Bellefleur at the Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 with his loving family by his side while listening to his favourite tunes by Jethro Tull.
Robert was the son of Irene Bellefleur (nee Quinlan) of Chatham and the late Ronald Bellefleur (1999).
Loving husband of Catherine "Cathy" Bellefleur (nee DeWitte) of Chatham.
Devoted father of Matthew & Luke Bellefleur.
Brother of Ron Bellefleur and his wife Donna & James Bellefleur and his wife Wanda.
Uncle of Ryan, Robert, Brent & Brittany
Son-in-law of Margaret DeWitte and the late Alphonse DeWitte (2017).
Brother-in-law of Mary Weldon (Pat) & Chris DeWitte (Monica).
Predeceased by brother-in-law, Doug DeWitte (2013).
Uncle of Rick, Lisa, Nathan & Keifer.
Best friends, like brothers, of Al Tayles, Bill McCready & Nestor Kirenko.
Rob retired from the City of Chatham, Public Works Department after 35+ years of Service. He was a member of the St. Agnes Knights of Columbus. He was a long suffering Toronto Maple Leafs fan & Minnesota Vikings fan. Rob filled his retirement years with curling, golfing & sharing a pint at the Legion. He will be missed by his furry friends and all who knew & loved him.
The Bellefleur family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors & nurses of both the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance & the Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus for their care and compassion shown to Rob and family.
As per Rob's wishes, there will be no visitation or public service.
A Celebration of Rob's Life will take place on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 1:00 - 6:00 pm at the Kent Belgium Dutch Club, 34 Byng Ave, Chatham. Wear your blue and white or purple and gold!
In memory of Rob, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
