PORQUET: Dorothy May (nee Mead) -
A resident of Chatham, Dorothy Porquet passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the age of 88.
Born in Chatham, Dorothy was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Greenhalgh) Mead.
Beloved wife of 62 years to Ben Porquet (2011).
Dear mother of Elizabeth Porquet of Mississauga, Ellis Porquet (Angela) of Chatham and Ellen Vyse (Gary) of Wallaceburg.
Proud grandmother of Chris, Jon, Will, Jennifer, Nicole, Christine and Steven.
Great-grandmother of numerous great-grandchildren.
Also missed by extended family and friends.
Dorothy had lived in Chatham all of her life. She was a member of the Salvation Army and women's groups within the church. She had been active as a Girl Guide Leader for 40 years.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Thursday with Captain Andrew Watkinson officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
In lieu of flowers, donation made in memory of Dorothy to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
