Obituary of Edna Middleton

Middleton, Edna Irene (nee Timbers) - of Chatham, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday October 30, 2018, in her 100th year. Born in Raleigh Township to parents the late Robert Henry and Mary Selena (nee Harris) Timbers. Edna was predeceased by her husband John Wesley in 1977, brothers Orval and Thomas Timbers, sisters Eva, Ida, Violet, Ada and Blanche, and dear friend Charlotte (nee Ritchie) Hawthorne. Survived by her sister-in-law Ethelda Timbers of Blenheim. Beloved mother of Wayne (late Lillian) Middleton of Strathroy, David (Joyce) Middleton of Merlin, Joan (Arthur) Downes of Toronto and Patricia Dugar of Corona, California. Grandmother to Michael (Nicholle), Vickie, Kristi, David Thurlow (Shelly), Darren (Maria), Keisha Renee, Deidre (David) and Tracey (Philip). Will be lovingly remembered by her 22 great-grandchildren and by her 16 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham, on Friday November 2, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service for Edna will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday November 3, at 1pm. Burial to follow in the North Buxton Community Cemetery. Donations in memory of Edna may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation.
