Obituary of David Peckford
Peckford, David Leo, a resident of Chatham, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at University Campus of London Health Sciences Centre on Sunday November 4, 2018 at the age of 62.
Born in Phillip’s Head, Newfoundland, Dave is predeceased by his father Leo Peckford, his mother Beatrice (nee Marshall) Curtis and his step-father William Curtis.
Dear father of Tanner Newcombe of Chatham, Melissa and husband John Loeppgy of Leamington, David Lee and wife Tabatha Smith of Ridgetown, and Crystal Hickmott of Windsor.
Beloved grandfather of Taiho, Jasmine, A.J., Madison, Emily, Kyle, Erica and Christopher.
Great-grandfather to Bentlee, Lincon, Nevaeh, Natalia, Grayson, Laila, Rosie and Lincoln, Keenan.
Brother of the late Norman (Louise) Peckford of Newfoundland, Bruce (Irene) Peckford of Newfoundland, Gertie (Albert) Boone of Newfoundland, Blanche (Dan) Sutherland of Newfoundland, Bonnie (late Marcel) Lalumiere of Chatham, Tina (Randy) Charron of Morpeth, Stephen Curtis (Jackie) of Newfoundland, Frank (Kim) Curtis of Chatham, and Tony Curtis of Chatham.
Will be missed also by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Nephew to Jim (Beverley) Marshall of Chatham.
Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham, on Tuesday November 6, 2018 from 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held the Funeral Home on Wednesday November 7 at 11am. Cremation to follow with burial of cremated remainst to be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David to the London Health Sciences Foundation - Cardiac Care Unit would be appreciated.

David's children wish to extend a very special thank you to his loving sister Bonnie who was Dave's ongoing supporter and caregiver throughout his sickness. And also, the nurses from the Cardiac Care Unit at the University Hospital in London for their care and compassion.
