Higgins, Barbara "Betty" (nee Kunisch)
A resident of Chatham, Betty peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at Copper Terrace Nursing Home on Saturday, November 17 2018 in her 97th year.
Born May 7, 1921, Betty was the daughter of the late Johan & Barbara (nee Blacchkovich) Kunisch.
Beloved wife of the late Robert G. Higgins (1981).
Loving mother of Peter & Theresa Egertz of Germany and Toni & Don Jamieson of Chatham.
Loving grandmother of Raymond, Peter, Melissa & Pamela and great-grandmother of 11. Special great-grandmother of Tiffany & Nicholas.
Predeceased by her four siblings.
Betty migrated from Germany in 1957, settling in London, where she resided for 29 years. She retired as a Housekeeper with Westminister College Residence in London. After retirement, Betty moved to Chatham to join her family. She was especially close & loved fondly by her daughter, Toni Jamieson.
As per Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place with a Private Family Interment in Hyde Park Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
