Obituary of Peter North

North, Jeffrey Peter – of Dresden, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday December 3, 2018, age 52.

Born in Windsor Ontario, to parents Margaret (nee Morehouse) and Walter North of Windsor.

Loving husband to Gisèle Marie-Jane (nee Joncas) North for 26 years.

Beloved father of Julie and husband Donald Mackenzie of Grande Pointe, Jonathan and partner Ashtin Morrison of Windsor, Mégan and partner Aron Burton of Dresden, Dominick and partner Helen Grubb of Dresden, and Christopher of Dresden.

Grandpa to Ethan and Brody Mackenzie.

Brother to Jon North of Oakville, Paul (Anne) North of Kingsville, and Christie (Peter) Wilson of Amherstburg.

Son-in-law to Monique Lambert and partner André Boulianne of Roberval.

Brother-in-law of Roger Joncas (Linda Simmons) of Chatham, Nathalie Joncas (Richard Gosselin) of Roberval.

Will be missed dearly by his four-legged children Maya (Mavis), Cassie, Loki, Lilly, and Dusty.

Peter dedicated his whole life to the happiness of his wife and family. He worked hard as a Mechanical Engineer at GWS Tube Forming Solutions for ten years whom he considered family. He was an avid motorcycle rider, enjoyed visiting his woodlot in Quebec, watching hockey and the CFL, and working on his vehicles and bikes. But most of all he was a proud and supportive father to his five children. He was happiest when he could watch his children pursue their dreams and passions.

Memorial visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham, on Friday December 7, 2018 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at L'Église Immaculée Conception, Pain Court on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, please wear your favourite funky socks to the visitation and funeral as per Peter’s request. Donations in Trust for his children’s education may be made at the Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com.
