RICHARDSON: Bruce Allen
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Bruce Allen Richardson, age 72, at Chatham-Kent Hospice with his loving family by his side. After a hard fought 2 1/2 year battle, cancer has won again, taking one of the best before his time.
Bruce will be forever missed by his devoted wife Donna (Gardiner) Richardson of 46 years, who remained by his side and cared for him throughout his fight.
Loving father of his "Julie Belle", Julie (Richardson) Kelley, son-in-law Shawn Kelley, super proud Papa of Asher Wygiera. Predeceased by daughter Kelly (1974).
Bruce will also be missed by grandchildren Kenedie Kelley (Stephen Haines), Hayden Kelley and great-grandchildren Addison and Isabella Haines.
Predeceased by his parents Frances (Leverton, 2003) and James Richardson (1972).
Brother to Ronald (Bonnie) Richardson and Glen (Marg) Richardson.
Survived by his mother-in-law Gladys (Drury) Gardiner.
Brother-in-law to Cheryl (late Jim, 2017) Gardiner, Sandra (late Bob, 2013) Gardiner, Bill (Joyce) Gardiner, Ruth (late Ron, 2009) Francis and Wayne Gardiner.
Bruce will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, life long friends and extended family.
Bruce had a full and happy life doing his favourite things: snowmobiling, fishing, boating, camping and his #1 joy of Nascar.
After retirement, he spent his time with his family, friends and riding his motorcycle (aka his convertible).
The family would like to thank the nurses, doctor, PSW's and all staff at Chatham-Kent Hospice for such great care of Bruce during his stay there.
Visitation will be held at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Cremation will immediately follow per Bruce's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
