VAN HAECKE: Simone (nee Timmermans) -
A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Wallaceburg, Simone Van Haecke passed away at Meadow Park Nursing Home, Chatham on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the age of 88.
Born in Wallaceburg, Simone was the daughter of the late Franciscus and Maria (Van Londersele) Timmermans.
Beloved wife of 44 years to Maurice Van Haecke.
Loving mother of Mary Anne Stewart (Lee) of Blenheim and Janice Cole (Earl) of Chatham.
Proud Grandma of Lee Anne Hould (Ben) and Shawn Stewart (Amanda).
Great-Grandma to Andrew Hould, Katelyn Hould and Jack Stewart.
Predeceased by her brother Rene Timmermans (Edna).
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Simone enjoyed living and working on the farm with her husband, Maurice. She was a terrific cook and enjoyed taking care of her family. Simone also thoroughly enjoyed her word search puzzles and her dog Barbie.
A Private Family Service will be held with an interment at Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
Donations made in memory of Simone to the Meadow Park Auxiliary would be appreciated.
