A resident of Chatham, Marguerite Gyssels passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Meadow Park Nursing Home, Chatham in her 88th year.
Born in Chatham, Marguerite was the daughter of the late Reginald & Viola (nee Bechard) Robert.
Beloved wife of the late George Gyssels (2010).
Remembered always by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Sister of Alfred Robert (the late Shirley) and Ernie Robert (Isabelle).
Marguerite was a devoted mother, hard worker and had a heart of gold. She was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament and enjoyed spending many hours tending to her garden and gladiolas.
Family to receive friends on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Prayers to be held at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 am on Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 145 Victoria Avenue, Chatham. Cremation to follow with a Private Family Interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Marguerite may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
