Obituary of William 'Butch' Levi

LEVI: William Francis 'Butch' -

A lifelong resident of Chatham, Bill Levi passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the age of 71.

Born in Chatham, Bill was the son of the late Wesley Wilfred and Olive Jean (Crosby) Levi. Son-in-law to Earl and the late Pauline Wilson.

Beloved husband of 49 years to Bonnie (nee Wilson).

Loving father of Andrea Miller (Anthony), Heather Revels (Jason), Melanie Levi-Merilees (Kortny) and Adam Levi (Sara), all of Chatham. Predeceased by his son Wesley (1979).

Proud Grampie of Shaleah, Isaiah, Xavier, Tayah, Phoenix, Gabriela, Sullivan, Cheyenne, Liam and Selena.

Brother to Sharon Knight (Earl) and Ethel Simmons (late Dennis), both of Chatham. Predeceased by his brother James Levi.

Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Bill retired from the former Frederick Transportation after 28 years of service. He thoroughly enjoyed his post-retirement job with Christian Horizons Kent 5 for 11 years. Bill loved to camp at Jellystone Park in Amherstburg with his family. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed riding on his motorcycle.

Special thanks to his coffee buddy, Frank, for his companionship.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm and at Evangel Community Church, 76 Sandys Street, Chatham on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 10:00 am until the Celebration of Bill's life at 11:00 am with Bishop Lionel Riley and Pastor Paul Riley officiating. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to be held at a later date.
