Gammage, Roy Almer
Roy passed away peacefully Monday, March 4, 2019 at Tilbury Manor Nursing Home at the age of 97.
He was born in Harwich Township and was the son of the late William and Mary (Want) Gammage.
Beloved husband of the late Ann (Ellsworth) Gammage (1994).
Loving father of Jim (Elaine) Gammage of Lighthouse Cove.
Dear grandfather of Justin Gammage of Coburg and Emilee (Mike) Drew of Tecumseh.
Special papa of Alina, Ethan, Kiana, Jayden and Davin.
Caring brother of Irene Brisley of Kent Bridge.
Predeceased by his sister Edith Gillier and his brothers, Tom, Clarence and Earl.
He was a long time employee of Rockwell International. He loved playing cards, darts, dancing and enjoyed travelling in his R.V.
He always looked forward to his visits from his family.
A special thank you to the staff at St. Andrew's Residence and Tilbury Manor for all of their excellent care.
Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Saturday, March 16, from 9:30-11:30 am with the Funeral Service to follow.
Interment to take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
