Obituary of Wanda Helen Paisiovich

PAISIOVICH: Wanda Helen (nee Dombrowski) -

A resident of Chatham, Wanda Paisiovich passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with her family at her side on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the age of 92.

Born in Cupar, Saskatchewan, Wanda was the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbra (Ottenbreit) Dombrowski.

Beloved wife of 48 years to the late Michael Paisiovich.

Loving and cherished mother to Bonnie Brown (David) and Helen Glogowski (Danny) both of Chatham. Predeceased by her infant daughter Diana.

Loving grandmother to David, Mike, Diane, Christine; Danny Jr., Connie and Michelle.

Great-grandmother to Jeffery, Jason, Devon, Trevor, Nicolas, Lauryn, Ian; Gracie, Danny Jr. Jr., Sofia and Charlotte.

Dear sister to Millie Woods (late Ivan) and Edith Polayko (late Mike). Predeceased by her sister Dora Tarr (late Joe), brother Albert Dombrowski and infant brother Joseph Dombrowski.

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Wanda enjoyed her time working in numerous family restaurant businesses, including the Delmar. She eventually retired from the Civic Centre, where she helped run the cafeteria. Wanda loved to dance and had many fond memories going to dances with her husband Mike. She was a loyal Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Tigers fan. She also enjoyed attending and watching the horse races on television.

Wanda will be remembered by her children and grandchildren as an 'Angel on Earth'. She had a gentle disposition, a kind heart and a great sense of humour.

A Private Family Service will be held with an interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Wanda to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
