Obituary of Emil Knizat
A resident of Ridgetown, Emil Knizat passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Saturday March 16, 2019 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 91.
Born in Slovakia, Emil Knizat was the son of the late Rudolph and Anne (Kratoska) Knizat.
Beloved husband of 66 years to Ann (nee Spilak).
Predeceased by 2 sisters and 1 brother from Manitoba.
Survived by children Tony Knizat of Ridgetown, Nancy & Larry Telford of Bobcaygeon, Lucy & Bill Willmore of Dover Centre, Margie Holmes & George Brown of Blenheim, and Fred & Melissa Knizat of Leamington.
Loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 1:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. Cremation to take place with a private family interment to be held at St. Michael's Cemetery at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Emil to the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent would be appreciated.
