Obituary of Keith Harvey Spicer

SPICER, Keith, Harvey: (October 11, 1940). 

Keith, a resident of Chatham-Kent, passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the age of 78. 

Now reunited with his father Harvey (1913-1985), mother Ruth (1912-2005) and brother Ron (1944-2004) in heaven. He is survived by his sister Terry (Mike) Meyerink, and his sister-in-law, Rebecca, all of Chatham. Keith was a loving uncle to Heather (Jake) Birch, Paul (Jeni) Spicer, Nate (Dana) Spicer, and Sarah, Rachel, and Michael Meyerink.  Great-uncle of Wilson, Clara, Ella, Daisy, Jaiden, Ian, Andrew, Leah, Mary, Samuel, Timothy and Lennon.

Keith was an amazing person who impacted many people through his enthusiastic storytelling, his art, his great laugh, and his friendly and caring personality. Keith had a love of fishing, travelling and bicycling, and also had many pets. He shared his faith in God freely and had many wonderful friendships with people he worked with, people who cared for him, and many special people at Gregory Drive Alliance Church.

The Spicer family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Riverview Gardens for their compassionate care for Keith after his stroke, as well as throughout his several years of residence there. Our sincere appreciation to the many nurses, especially the nurses on the 2nd Floor, at Riverview Gardens that went over and above to care for Keith over the years.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Gregory Drive Alliance Church, 255 Gregory Drive Chatham, ON. Private Family Burial to take place in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
