HUMPHREYS: Robert John 'Bob'
A resident of Chatham, Bob Humphreys passed away at Meadow Park Nursing Home on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in his 94th year.
Born in Thamesford, Bob was the son of the late Victor and Annie (Acton) Humphreys.
Beloved husband of 72 years to Elizabeth 'Betty' Humphreys (nee Abray).
Loving father to Lisa VandenBrink (Jeff) of London and the late Robert 'Robb' Humphreys (April 12, 2019).
Predeceased by his siblings Murdiena Glover, Jane Thompson, Irene Seeley and Paul Humphreys. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Doreen Revell and brother-in-law Glen Abray.
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Bob was an avid golfer and was a hockey coach and convener for the Chatham Minor Hockey Association. Bob worked in shipping and receiving for Dover Corporation for over 40 years.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 12:00 pm until the Celebration of Bob's Life at 1:30 pm with Pastor Winston Gosse officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
Donations made in memory of Bob to Crohn's and Colitis Canada or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
