Obituary of Hector Provost

Provost, Hector - of RR# 5 Chatham, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Sunday May 19, 2019, age 82. Born in Chatham, Ontario to parents the late Harvey and Clara (nee Tetrault) Provost.

Beloved husband of Mary Louise (nee Bechard) for 60 years.

Loving father of Peter (Lisa) of Mitchell's Bay, Denise (Harold) Leeson of Chatham, and Dennis (Penelope) of RR#9 Chatham.

Grandfather of Andrew (Therese) Leeson, Jessica (Dillon) Boyt, Brandon Provost, Shaun VanSickle (Alicia), John VanSickle (Daniela), Doulton Waddick, Kailee Waddick, Raleigh Provost and Hayden Provost.

Great-Grandfather of Lyric and Helena Boyt.

Brother of Lennard (late Joyce) of Wallaceburg.

Brother-in-law of Genevieve (John) Owen of Ridgetown, Evelyn St. Pierre of Chatham, Ron Morris of Windsor, and Hillary O'Mara of Chatham.

Will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased also by his siblings Art (Delores), Don (Donna), Bob (Carol), Larry (Pat), and by sisters-in-law, Jeanne Morris, Rita O'Mara, Agnes Lozon, and Margaret Countryman and brothers-in-law, Paul Bechard and Louis Bechard.

He was a member of the Legion, Moose Lodge and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chatham. He farmed for many years and also drove truck for Leach Explosives and Gene Riddell Trucking.

A Celebration of Life for Hector will be held at the Retro Suites Hotel in the Derby Room, 2 King St. W, Chatham, ON, on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 2-5pm.

Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date in the New Saint Anthony Cemetery, Chatham.

Donations in memory of Hector may be made to Canadian National Institute for the Blind, the Ronald McDonald House in Toronto or the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
