Obituary of Francis Jr. Allemeersch

Allemeersch, Francis Jr. - In the early morning hours of Wed Aug 7th, 2019, our brother Francis Jr. Allemeersch, of Christian Horizons Chatham, Kent 5, passed quietly surrounded by love at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Son of the late Francis Sr. Allemeersch (2010) and the late Bertha Allemeersch (2011) of Ridgetown; Sister Theresa Hoffman and Max Hoffman of Springfield On, sister Yvonne Woods-Babcock (late Gord Woods) and Jim Babcock of Bothwell, sister Linda Galbraith and Dennis Galbraith of Strathroy. Missed by his many nieces and nephews; Sylvia Walker Hoffman and Adam Walker and baby Myra, Tim Woods and Liza Woods and boys Austin and Cohen, Jennifer Woods and Greg Spence and girls Myah and Chloe, Jessica Galbraith and Matt McAllister, Jeff Galbraith and children Knox and Claira. Nephew of Adolf Kucera and the late Margaretha of Belle River, Marie Korpan and husband Joe of Chatham, Jeannie Havens and the late Lucien of Ridgetown, Anna Ternoey and Jack of Blenheim, and Firmin Dejonghe and Diane of Chatham.

Will also be missed by his many cousins. Francis was surrounded by love from both his biological family and his wonderful family by chance from Kent 5, especially his good friend John Lindsay. A special thank you to the amazing staff at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance emergency, ICU, and palliative care. You reassured us in our difficult decisions.

Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East, Ridgetown on Monday August 12, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be shared at 7pm. The Funeral Mass for Francis Jr. will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 95 Marlborough St. N, Blenheim, on Tuesday August 13, at 11am. Reception to follow in the St. Mary's Hall. A private family burial will be held in the St. Michael’s Cemetery, Ridgetown.
