Obituary of Ronald William Maxwell

Maxwell, Ronald William - 

Passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with his family at his side on, September 5th, 2019 at the age of 69.

Born in Chatham, Ronald was the son to the late William John Maxwell and Mary Agnes VanBasselaere.

Loving husband to the late Antonietta Cresta Pretty (2014). 

Greatly missed by his daughters Lisa and Mark Myers of Pain Court, Jessica and Richard Clements of Chatham, and Angela and Mike Smith. 

Predeceased by his son William Maxwell (2018). 

Proud grandfather to Kaley, Hunter, Colton, Baby Nico, and Kayla. 

Fondly remembered by his brother Rick Maxwell and Tracy Papps and sister Darlene and Norman Stall. 

Ron worked at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for 40 years where he met his late wife. He was a devout Blue Jays and Maple Leafs fan, enjoyed shuffleboard and playing cards. Ron loved his music, particularly Elvis Presley and other jukebox oldies. 

Donations made in memory of Ronald may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Kidney Foundation. 

Family will receive guests on Monday, September 9th, 2019 from 11:30 - 1:30pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:30pm on Monday at the Funeral Home. As per Ron's wishes, cremation will follow with an interment at a later date.
