Obituary of Nelly Emelie Sidonie Vlasschaert
A resident of Blenheim, Nelly Vlasschaert passed away at the Meadow Park Nursing Home on October 8, 2019 at the age of 96.
Born in Maldegem Belgium, Nelly was the daughter of the late Medard and Augusta (Raeman) Verbeke.
Beloved wife of 53 years to the late Oscar Vlasschaert.
Loving mother to Lorraine Vlasschaert of Blenheim and Dorothy (Michael) Meraw of Windsor.
Dearly loved grandma to Jonathan (Janna) Vlasschaert of Chatham, Sean Meraw, Miles Meraw of Windsor and Metje to Regan Vlasschaert.
Predeceased by sisters Angela (Austin) Vlasschaert and Rachelle (Lorne) Lenehan.
Special thanks to all the staff at Meadow Park Nursing Home for their great care for Nelly.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 11, 2019 at 11am at McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park St. with Father Paul Duplessie officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Nelly to the Alzheimer's Society of Chatham-Kent would be appreciated.
