Merritt, Beverley “Bev” (nee Moon)
A longtime resident of Chatham, Bev peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice in her 83rd year.
Daughter of the late Terry & Stella (nee Viau) Moon.
Beloved partner of the late Don Jones.
Loving mother of Gene Merritt (Lisa) of Chatham, Cindy Sterling (Don) of Grande Pointe and remembered fondly by her daughter-in-law, Brigitte Davis (Chris) of Chatham.
Predeceased by sons, Brian & William Merritt.
Grandma of Joel (Devon), Shane (Nicole), Jordan, Jenny (Mark) & Drake (Kaitlyn).
Great-grandma of Sophia.
Sister of Donna Peel & sister-in-law of Mary Moon. Predeceased by siblings, Terry Moon (the late Betty Ann), Ron Moon and brother-in-law, John Peel.
Bev was a longtime seller of Avon products and enjoyed meeting with clients. She was also a longtime member of La Sertoma of Chatham.
Family to receive friends on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral Service to follow on Friday morning at the Funeral Home at 11:00 am with. Cremation to follow.
In memory of Bev, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
