Obituary of Jeffrey Paul Bossence

Jeff Bossence passed away on the 14th of December, 2019 at the age of 62 from cancer. He is survived by his wife Laura Bossence (née Mackenzie) and his three sons William (Jennifer) of Shilo, Manitoba, Neil (Brittany) of Ridgetown, Ontario, and John-Alec (Melanie) of Cold Lake, Alberta. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown, on Saturday the 21st of December 2019 from 12 noon until the time of the Memorial Service at 1 o'clock. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. An informal reception will take place at the Ridgetown Legion Branch #243, 75 Main Street East, beginning at 3 o’clock. Born in Toronto to Vera Ann Bossence (née Loft) and the late Ronald Lloyd Bossence on the 12th of May 1957. He had a fun and interesting childhood with his brother and partner in crime Steve Bossence. Jeff stepped up and became a fantastic, often crazy, and make-a-wildly-fun-game out of anything father to William, Neil, and John-Alec. He was an exciting and enthusiastic Grandpa to Conner, Rylynn, Petra-Soffia, Everly, Freyja-Lucia, Ivan, and Vesta-Corinna. Jeff took pride in his work as a manager at Navistar International and later at Mac’s now Circle K. In his free time, he was an avid golfer who enjoyed working out and taking long walks around Ridgetown. While living in Toronto, Jeff wanted to move out of the city to a small town and really enjoy the open space and simpler life for his sons. He was always ready with unsolicited advice and never-ending discussions about just anything. Jeff was definitely a character that made an impact on many peoples lives and will be missed. Jeff will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, and golfing buddies. Donations made in memory of Jeff to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
