Obituary of Joseph Thomas

Thomas, Joseph (Joe) A resident of Prairie Siding, Joseph Thomas passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the age of 93. Joe was the son of the late Joseph (Steve) Thomas and the late Helen (nee Stone) Thomas. Beloved husband of the late Betty Jean Thomas (nee Hope) of 56 years. Loving father of Kevin Thomas and Karen & Bill Bond. Forever missed by his grandchildren, Matthew Bond, Stephanie St. Amand (Dan), Jennifer Bond-McDonald, and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Dominic, Morgan, Lucas, Violet & Makayla. Predeceased by his sister, Jean White. Joe retired after 30 years of service from Navistar as a mechanic. He was a member of the Free Mason’s of Chatham. Friends to be received on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Masonic Lodge Service to be held at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Following a light lunch at the McKinlay Reception Centre, burial to follow in Stewart Cemetery, Merlin.
