Obituary of Doug Cameron

Cameron: Douglas 'Doug' Thomas - A resident of Thamesville, Doug passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on January 4, 2020 at the age of 88. Born in Howard Township, Doug was the son of Francis and Gladys (Skakel) Cameron. Beloved husband of 65 years to Jean Cameron (nee Fraser). Loving father to Paul (Roseanne) Cameron of Thamesville and predeceased by Debbie (Randy) Boyd of Calgary, AB. Grandfather to Greg (Kate) Cameron, Philip Cameron, Mitchell (Katie) Boyd, and Kate Boyd. Great grandfather to Ben Boyd, Ellie Boyd, and Zoey Cameron. Predeceased by sister in law Ruth (Earl) Fox. Sadly missed by nieces and many close friends. Doug was known for his love of farming and was involved as a member of St. John's Botany Church and the Masonic Lodge in Thamesville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 7, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East in Ridgetown with a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Wednesday January 8, 2020 at the funeral home at 11:00 am with Rev. Wanda Burse officiating. Interment to take place at Greenwood Cemetery following the service.
