Eris MacIntosh

Obituary of Eris Pauline MacIntosh

Eris Pauline MacIntosh (nee McGibbon) Born March 9th, 1928 in Anagance Ridge NB, to William and Jeanie McGibbon. Eris left in 1947 to find adventure in Hamilton,On and that is where she met her husband Bill. Little did she know the wonderful ride which was to be her life. She passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday May 13th. She will be happy to finally rejoin her husband Bill (2003). Eris was a proud mother of her children Rand MacIntosh (Nicky), Beth (Steve) Fleming, Lori (Sandy) MacKay. She so enjoyed her grandchildren Ian (Cristy), Allison (Adrian), Kathyrn (Joseph), Bryce (Heidi), Kaitlyn (Jacob), Caleb and Ethan along with her great grandchildren Sara, Bruno, Graham, Logan, Emme, Harper (2020), Everly and Bridget, all of whom will miss her. She will be happy to reunite with her siblings and their spouses, who predeceased her. Jean (George), Bessie (Norman), Elsie (Lloyd), Archie (Jean), Glennie (Walter) and Gordon (Pauline), all of whom she had many fond memories of. She has many nieces and nephews whom she loved visiting with on her many trips ‘back home’ to New Brunswick. Eris worked for several companies over the years and her last job with St Clair College as secretary to the Principal was her favourite. She had developed many friendships with the staff, over the years. While in Chatham, Eris and Bill were active members of St James Presbyterian church and the community. A life full of time at the cottage, travel, canoe races, bridge games, church dinners, amateur radio club and many more events in the community, helped bond strong friendships. Moving to Kitchener, away from all of her friends was very hard for her. Our thanks to the staff of Emma’s Neighbourhood at the Village of Winston Park, Kitchener, for their excellent care of our mother. Due to the current restrictions a Private Family Service will be held Wednesday May 20th. A recording of the service will be available for viewing later on the Funeral home’s website. In memory condolences can be left online at the funeral home and donations to Alzheimer society would be appreciated, or to the charity of one’s choice, through the funeral home website www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com The Funeral Service can be watched at: https://youtu.be/cC6FFyjb9gM
