ERNTEMAN-MALE: Agnes Donaldson (nee Henderson) - A resident of Chatham, Agnes Male passed away at the Village on the Thames with her family at her side on Monday, June 8, 2020 in her 103rd year. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, Agnes was the daughter of the late James "Scotty" and Elizabeth (Harrow) Henderson. Beloved wife of the late Art Ernteman (1977) and the late Stanley Male (1996). Cherished mother of Margaret Vellinga (John) of Bracebridge, Barbara Ernteman of Chatham, the late Arthur Ernteman, Mary Ann Ernteman of Chatham and Sharon Butler of Chatham. Proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Missed by daughter-in-law Diane Ernteman of Forest. Predeceased by brothers Jim, Bill and Don Henderson and sisters Margaret Henderson and Jean Cox. Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Agnes had a successful career in food service, having owned and operated her own catering business and eventually retiring as an Area Manager from Beaver Foods. Agnes was a member of Sprucedale United Church, where she sang in the choir, and a member of the Maple City Lady's Bowling Club and the Kent Seniors Golf and Social Club. She was a Charter Member of the Kent County Sweet Adelines and later became a life member of the London Chapter Sweet Adelines. She volunteered for many years with V.O.N. With the present restrictions in place, a private family service will be held with an interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations made in memory of Agnes to the Outreach for Hunger, Salvation Army or a Charity of your choice would be appreciated.
