A resident of Chatham, Gary Bassett passed away on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 at his home at the age of 70.
Gary was the son of the late Fred & Joan (nee Lowe) Bassett.
Dear husband of 38 beautiful years to Gillian (nee Wilson) Bassett.
Remembered always by his children, Kas Bassett (Marie-Pier) & Scott Bassett (Brianna).
Granddad of Danielle, Kaylee & Kaden.
Great-granddad of Ryker.
Brother of Gloria Benson (Frank) & Sherralyn Hennaert (John).
Brother-in-law of Sheila Hughes & Chas and Diane Wilson.
Missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Gary worked for many years as a Tool & Die maker at Motor Wheel, and Fabco. He enjoyed spending time supporting his beloved football team, Aston Villa. He loved to landscape and garden in his free time. He will be missed by many who knew him.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

No one will be permitted at the visitation without a scheduled time. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask.
A Funeral Service will also be held on Wednesday. Those hoping to attend the Service at 1:30 pm must schedule a time online at https://signup.com/go/dneYAwA or phone the Funeral Home at 519-351-2040. With Covid-19 restrictions you likely will be seated in an overflow seat. Burial to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
