Obituary of Cora Wright

WRIGHT: Cora Ann (nee Smith)-

A heart of gold left us today, Sunday July 5, 2020.

For 55 years, Cora has been the partner and soulmate of Richard (Dick) Wright.

Loving mother to Libby Wright and very proud Gramma to Sean Wilton (Megan) and Kyle Wilton (Sarah).

She passed away peacefully at her home with Dick and Libby at her side, 4 days after her 74th birthday.

Born in Chatham, Cora was the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Dawson) Smith.

Dear sister to Roy Smith (Lynn) and the late John F. Smith.

She is also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Cora worked at CIBC for 22 years.

She loved gardening and watching her beloved birds enjoy those gardens she created for them.

We wish to give special thanks to her dear friends, Kim Nicholson and Barb Fuller for their friendship and dedication over the years. You both made her very happy.

At the end of the day, Cora would do anything she could for anyone in need, to bring them happiness or ease their pain. We know that there are so many friends out there that wanted to be there for her. The unbelievable circumstances during this time will make it difficult for many of us to properly grieve her loss. We've not been able to be physically present for her in her time of need, in the way we wish we could have. However, she is now at peace and would want us all to move forward as soon as possible and remember happy times.

Thank you also to her caring palliative care team, Lisa and Jon Ann.

A Graveside Service will be held at Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Morpeth, at 2pm on Saturday July 11th. Those hoping to attend the service are required to register online at https://signup.com/go/cioJynt or phone the funeral home at 519-674-3141.
